The article includes an interview with Jim Peterson who served with the ship's Marine Detachment for a period which included the Atlantic Conference. A photo of Jim is also included.
The article also includes a photo of the curator of the Augusta-Richmond Museum, Gordon Blaker, as he inspects the Binnicle of the Augusta which is part of a history display for the ship which was named after the City of Augusta, Georgia.
