My dad was a radioman on the Augusta late in the war. Henry F. Hummers, 'sparks' or 'sparky' (I guess a natural for a radioman)! I don't know the exact timing but I do remember him talking about taking HST to Antwerp. He said that HST once ducked in the radio room to loose his Secret Service. He was still abord after VE because he talked about bringing home troops (Operation Magic Carpet perhaps?) and getting caught in a North Atlantic storm and having most troops filling the barrels. Did she almost loose her bow in this storm? thanks \s\Rick
