My father, Alford F Guthrie, served on the USS Augusta from approx. 1934 to 1938. I have his album and many photographs from that time period. I have been able to locate the family of one shipmate to send his picture. I am trying to locate a relative of Evan "Chick" Jarboe to send his picture to a family member. I cannot identify the subjects of the other photographs except the ship and Shanghai harbor. If anyone has any information regarding Mr. Jarboe I would appreciate an email to jgbranch@charter.net.
