Stanley J.Echler, age 82 born Feb. 5, 1920 in Toledo, Ohio died Sept.4, 2002 peacefully at his home in Fairfield, Ohio with family and friends at his side. He graduated from Woodward High School (Toledo) in 1938. He served in the US Navy from 1939 to 1945 as Radio man aboard the USS Augusta and USS Alamance. He worked for the City of Toledo Traffic Engineering Dept. retiring in 1985. He was a licensed Ham Radio Operator (W8JVS.) He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Mary, Sons, Richard, Mark, Gary and David, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. His was layed to rest with US Navy honors at Crown Hill Memorial Park. Stanley J. Echler, who served his country proudly will be missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace. Love you always - Your Son, Mark
