I just saw your massage about your Uncle Joe Silva. Joe and I were very close friends. We went aboard the Augusta the same day from Newport Training Station. This was Sept.22, 1941.We spent much time together while serving on the Augusta.We went on many liberties to Fall River prior to Pearl Harbor. I visited him once when we were in the Boston area some time ago.He lived in Belmont at that time.Is Demetria still alive?, she should remember me my name was Morey Rothholtz at that time.I was saddened by his early death.
