I don't know if you are aware, but the Tasker H. Bliss was the Luxury Liner SS President Cleveland Of the APL (American President Lines). During the start of the War, she was requesitioned by the Army as a troop transport then transferred to the Navy. during the early part of 1942 she was converted into an Attack Teansport (AP42). After the war, she was reconditioned back to serve as a liner again and returned to the APL where she served in the pacific liner trade to her retirement. I do believe that Danfs, (Dictionary of American Fighting Ships) carries an entry on her.
