The Tasker H Bliss was one of the 850 allied ships that carried troops and equipment to Africa in one of the of the largest convoys of the war. My father, Charles Ankney was fireman first class and escaped the #2 boiler room after being torpedoed. I have quite a bit of info on the invasion and sinking of the Bliss. Let me know if interested.
