Anthony Barksdale is a contradiction in helmet and pads.

The 6-3, 238-pound Farmingdale senior is bigger than nearly anyone else on the field. And yet his wrecking-ball style belies the asset that's made him a Division I prospect: speed.

Barksdale showcased it in last night's Nassau Conference I football semifinal against No. 3 Baldwin. And he didn't make the crowd wait long.

Barksdale's 49-yard touchdown run on the game's third play from scrimmage gave No. 2 Farmingdale the early lead. And Nakyle Bethay's 6-yard scoring run in overtime lifted the Dalers to a 12-6 win before 1,200 at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium.
