Redemption comes in many forms. Twice during the regular season, the Massapequa football team blew second-half leads and faltered. Chris Hurst was at the center of another collapse last night against No. 1 Freeport.

Redemption for Hurst meant a chance to erase 14 points with each run through the defense. For his Massapequa teammates, it was simply answering adversity like champions. The second-chance kids from Massapequa tossed aside mistakes and turned history on its ear.
