Highlights: Michael Brennan scored off an assist by Kevin Young to give Chaminade a 7-3 lead with 5:47 left in the fourth quarter in a  non-league game. West Islip scored three goals in the next 2:46 to pull within 7-6 with 3:01 left.

Chaminade goalie, Tommy Morr, made three of his nine saves in the final three minutes to preserve the victory. Matt Gibson had two goals and two assists for Chaminade and was named the Pontiac Player of the Game. Teammates Robert Walters had two goals, and Max Trunz had a goal and two assists.

Brian Caufield led West Islip with three goals and Justin Turri had two. The loss ended West Islip's 24-game winning streak. West Islip, the 2006 Class A state champion, last lost to Section IIs Niskayuna in a 2005 state semifinal.

 West Islip is 1-1 this season and next plays Sachem North on 4/10. Chaminade is now 2-0, and next plays at home against St. Mary's on 4/10.
